Training Opportunities / Accredited Site Information Victoria

Victoria has a statewide training program in Geriatric Medicine.

All sites in Victoria accredited for advanced training in geriatric medicine have combined to form three Training Alliances.

The Training Alliances offer comprehensive training across a range of clinical settings. Trainees rotate between different sites within the Alliance to optimise the diversity of clinical experience and training. Each Alliance has a Director of Training.

Formal training is provided both within the Training Alliances and in the Statewide Training Program. All trainees are expected to attend the Statewide Training afternoon held every second week.
